Bryant Electric Company was founded in1888 and one of the first manufacturers of electrical switching equipment. But it became a division of Westinghouse in the 1901, and Westinghouse ceased production of Bryant brands panels in 1988. So any panels still installed are pushing 40-years of age, and likely much older. 

    We do not know of any markings on the panel box or data sticker that indicate date of manufacture. But the year of construction of the house is also often when the panel was produced. Any building permits for a remodeling, addition, service upgrade, or panel replacement may also provide a clue to the age.

     Bryant circuit breakers have switch toggles that are color-coded by amperage rating, and a simple logo on the data sticker, both of which make them easy to identify.
