How can I tell the age of a Fujitsu air conditioner from the serial number?
Saturday, June 23, 2018
Most companies encode the year of manufacture in the serial number, but Fujitsu does not. You have to call the Fujitsu Service Department, at (866) 952-8324, with your serial number and they will give you a date. They advised us that the heat pump condensing unit with serial number “KRN016885,” shown below, was shipped in January, 2013. Only an ordering or shipping date for a system, not a date of manufacture, can be provided by Fujitsu.
